Cognitive art is a vehicle to activate complex mental processes, integrating reason, emotion, and symbolism. Humanity now requires, more than ever, renewed layers of interpretation that transcend the immediate. The rational and emotional dimensions of human endeavor demand a space for connection, allowing cognitive processes to ascend to new heights.

As in The Four Directional Sun, where the number 107 transforms into a universal symbol, this movement seeks to embody dialogues between science and spirituality.

Thus, the Cognitive Art Movement is guided by the following principles:

1. Link the Universal with the Search for Meaning

By integrating science, philosophy, and art, this becomes a laboratory where spirituality is not dogma but living experimentation, avoiding reductionist approaches and fostering interdisciplinary synergies.

2. Balance Method and Intuition

Every work arises from both rigorous research and emotional-spiritual exploration.

3. Art as a Catalyst for Complex Mental Processes

Cognitive art expands the boundaries of perception and consciousness, challenging conventional perspectives. Through abstraction, it activates reflection on material reality and accesses transcendent ideals – cosmic harmony, unity in diversity, the interconnectedness between reason and spirit.

4. Prioritize Meaning Over Form

Choose techniques and mediums that amplify layers of meaning: rational, symbolic, and sensory.

5. Encourage Active Participation

Design works that demand critical interaction—intellectual, emotional, or physical—rejecting passivity.

6. Share the Creative Process

Document and openly share stages of creation, protecting emerging ideas and valuing errors as stepping stones for growth.

7. Honor Traditions Responsibly

When using cultural symbols, deeply research their roots, acknowledge their origins, and collaborate with their rightful custodians.

8. Radical Pedagogies

Implement educational methodologies where art serves as a tool to explore science, self-discovery, and critical thinking.

9. Value Impact Through Contribution to the Social Fabric

The success of works is valued by their capacity to spark transformative dialogues, plant questions within diverse communities, challenge entrenched paradigms and/or power structures in knowledge production.

10. Combat Intellectual Rigidity

Use art to question certainties, promote mental flexibility, and open spaces for the unexplored and uncertain.
